Know what you hold. Know what needs checking.
J.A.R.V.I.S. Institutional is in development for museums, libraries, archives and organizations managing stock for others. The intended workflow connects source images, physical locations, registrar and curator review, and documented decisions. A current field estimator can calculate a possible hidden row from staff-entered measurements, but it cannot identify or count unseen objects. Museum and library procedures have not yet been released.

One simple conversation
From “What is this?” to “What should I do next?”
Explore a proposed institutional workflow. The current client can help capture preliminary evidence; accession, library and multi-user controls require a validated institutional release.
Separate observation, attribution, authority and unresolved research questions.
Assign the appropriate registrar, curator, conservator or collections task.
Maintain location, corrections, movement and the institutional evidence trail.
The institutional workflow
Products being developed for professional teams.
These are the planned Institutional modules. They are shown for scope and pilot discussion, not as released software. Each will need real records, responsible staff review, export checks and field acceptance.
Museum collections
Coming soonIntake, accession, custody, movement, condition, loans, conservation and approved deaccession with auditable decisions.
Libraries and archives
Coming soonTitle and copy records, MARC exchange, sourced Dewey Decimal numbers, holdings, archival hierarchy, restrictions and reviewed public access. The current client can preserve an institution-supplied MARC 082 field for review; automated Dewey schedule lookup is not enabled.
Field inventory and stocktake
Coming soonSource-linked observations, shelf and QR locations, duplicate review, physical recount and discrepancy reports.
Hidden-row estimation
Coming soonBuild on the current staff-entered depth calculator with video-linked shelves, low/working/high ranges and physical-count validation.
Care and digital assets
Coming soonOriginal-file protection, rights, condition and treatment records, with approved derivatives for public use.
Institutional controls
Coming soonStaff roles, collection-specific access, approvals, audit history, offline recovery and portable exports.
Use video and compatible AI glasses
Coming soonSupport hands-free intake, storage audits and object movement with video evidence, voice context and discreet prompts while institutional policy and authorized staff remain in control.
Professional reports
Coming soonExport reviewed intake, location, stocktake, condition and audit reports without promoting estimates to verified facts.
Interoperability
Coming soonValidate field mappings and round trips with approved collection-management and archival systems.
The Nunavut maintenance inventory exercise used walkthrough videos to create a preliminary register and a separate scenario for stock inferred behind visible cartons. It was not a physical count or certified appraisal. That distinction guides the Institutional product.
Extend professional capacity without replacing it.
Discuss a scoped pilot with sample records, physical verification, export and rollback tests. Institutional policy and authorized professionals remain in control.
